Montenegro
Montenegro, in the Balkan Peninsula and south of the Adriatic, offers
culture, history, natural beauty and, of course, wonderful beaches
with crystal clear water, highlighting especially the kindness of
its people.
Podgorica, the capital, is the commercial and cultural center
of the country. In addition to its historical monuments, beautiful
parks, theaters and nightlife, this city has much to offer.
Budva is one of the most picturesque cities on the Adriatic.
Already knew this town from the V BC it is a lively place full
of bars, restaurants, clubs and some casinos. Held, also an important
international music festival.
The Bay of Kotor (Boka Kotorska) may be one of the most picturesque
in the world. Dripping cliffs and dark waters, it is the only
fjord in southern Europe.
Skadar Lake (Skadarsko Jezero) is the largest in the Balkans,
as well as beautiful. It is rich in flora and fauna, abundant
nesting seabird colonies and also has many historical and cultural
monuments.
The Biogradska Gora is a national park with serene lakes and
lush meadows. At Mount Durmitor, another national park, impressive
canyons carved by rivers, glacial lakes and forests of perennials.
Someone said that the curious island of Ada Bojana is the result
of a shipwreck. For many years, sediments accumulate creating
this beautiful place known for its nudist beach and delicious
seafood.
Finally include the Monastery of Ostrog. In Bjelopavlici valley,
there is this monastery carved into the rock. Founded in the XVIIth
century, is one of the most visited Christian shrines in the world.
